The 200 Club of Monmouth County Swears in New Officers

Spring Lake, NJ, June 28, 2018 - At its first organizational meeting of the year, former 200 Club President and retired Monmouth County Clerk, swore in as president New Jersey’s First Lieutenant Governor Kim Guadagno. French also swore in Attorney Robert A. Honecker, Jr. as Vice President, Fair Haven Mayor Benjamin J. Lucarelli as Treasurer, and Businessman Bill Wingard as Secretary.

"The 200 Club of Monmouth County supports our women and men in uniform and their families when they need help the most," said Guadagno.

"I am proud of the work outgoing president Joe Thompson did, and I am excited about building on his efforts."

Kim Guadagno, a partner at Connell Foley, specializing in commercial and in white collar defense litigation, served as New Jersey’s First Lieutenant Governor for eight years, was the first woman Sheriff of Monmouth County and has been a state and federal prosecutor. Kim has been a member of the 200 Club since 2008.

Robert A. Honecker, Jr., a partner with Ansell Grimm & Aaron, specializing in criminal and municipal court defense, was Monmouth County’s first assistant prosecutor and acting prosecutor for Monmouth County, and served as past president of the Monmouth County Bar Association, and is also an associate member of the Monmouth County Chiefs of Police Association. Honecker has been a member of the 200 Club for more than a decade. Honecker said he "looked forward to working with law enforcement to ensure that they know that their families will be cared for if the worst happens to them."

Benjamin J. Lucarelli is a self-employed real estate professional. As Fair Haven Mayor, Treasurer Lucarelli knows how to budget and said he "will make sure every penny goes to serve our first responders." Lucarelli has been a member for ten years.

William W. Wingard (Bill), a founding member, was sworn into another term as Secretary. He gives his time to provide first responders of Monmouth County much-needed support. Bill, a retired businessman, served in the United States Navy medical corps. Among his many accomplishments, he joined the First Aid Squad, served as a special officer with Spring Lake PD, and was an active councilman. "I am pleased that the 200 Club has grown from a small group of well-intentioned businessmen to the 1000 members it has today," said Secretary Wingard.

The 200 Club was founded by Bill Wingard and other philanthropic Monmouth County businessmen in1987 when each pledged an annual donation of $200. The 200 Club is dedicated to providing financial assistance to the families of our public safety and rescue personnel who have been killed in the line of duty. This includes, but is not limited to, police officers, firefighters, and first aid and EMT technicians of Monmouth County, New Jersey.

Community support allows the 200 Club of Monmouth County to continue the mission of supporting our public safety personnel and their families in times of line of duty loss. The organization is governed by officers who serve a two-year term and a Board of Trustees. It is a 501(c)3 charitable organization with about 1000 members.
